If Art should do one thing, it's to tell the truth (colorfully)

As I hope the title and the art makes this clear, art has always had the ability to tell the truth. It's nothing to apologize for. I didn't want to keep my mouth shut when insurrectionists stormed the US Capitol on 1/6/21 in a violent attempt to block the electoral vote certification. It was a deliberately violent day of sedition that will not be erased from the historical record, fascist censors be damned. Sorry for such a late post - going back to school in the Fall for welding, which has been a mountain of paperwork but now we're back-

Art is meant to tell the damn truth. Even the most paranoid censors and fearmongers haven't stopped art getting out somehow. That's all the more relevant these days where art is among the vital channels of getting ideas out to the public when censorship is at an all-time high in recent years. Trying to completely censor art is a war of attrition, but in this war of attrition, art always wins. But that only happens if artists keep up their trade.

Speaking directly to artists - seriously, do not be disheartened by the nay-saying of the common clay (you know ... morons.) I know every other artist has said it sometime in the last six years, but keep making art no matter what. Pencils, cameras, stone, whatever you have, bloody hell just make some art with it. And use that art to tell the truth, no matter what.

P.S. I strongly encourage to vote or run for office as an independent, NOT as default Republican/Democrat. The two-party system has been an abysmal failure for a minimum of 50 years. Has this duopoly actually helped the American people? NO it has not. If you want to run for office, you should prove your worth as an independent, NOT as a failed duopoly.
